About the Role
This newly-shaped Safety Business Partner role will provide strategic and operational safety leadership across the site, partnering closely with the Head of Operations and functional leaders to embed effective risk management, strong reporting and a proactive safety culture.
You'll take a transformational approach - moving the function from transactional to strategic - influencing leaders, uplifting near-miss and incident reporting, and building safety systems that are practical and fit for a fast-paced, 24/7 processing workplace.
Duties
- Partner with site leaders as a trusted safety advisor
- Lead and embed a strong safety and compliance culture
- Uplift incident,
hazard and near-miss reporting
- Deliver and coach safety leadership capability
- Oversee inductions, training and competency records
- Lead risk assessments and safe operating procedures
- Manage WHS compliance, audits and inspections
- Liaise with regulators during audits and incidents
- Support return-to-work processes and outcomes
Skills and Experience
- Manufacturing safety experience essential
- Food processing background highly regarded
- Relevant WHS qualification
- Proven autonomous, self-starting approach
- Track record of transformational, not transactional, impact
- High integrity, honesty and transparency
- Confidence influencing and coaching leaders
