We're currently seeking an organised and detail-oriented Procurement Support Officer to join a Queensland Government team based in Cairns.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable government experience while supporting procurement operations in a busy and collaborative setting.
About the role
- Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Respond to procurement enquiries and provide guidance on policies, procedures and standard forms.
- Raise and process purchase orders, work orders and other procurement documentation.
- Provide procurement, purchasing and contract administration support.
- Assist with procurement-related projects,
research and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.
About you
- Previous administration, procurement or purchasing experience.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience using procurement or finance systems will be highly regarded.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
