OCTEC is an established not-for-profit provider of specialist employment services Transition to Work (TtW) and Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA). We're dedicated to creating meaningful employment opportunities for our participants and pride ourselves in working closely with small and medium local employers to build strong, sustainable communities.

We're currently seeking a full-time Hub Pathways Manager based in Wollongong to support our sites across the Employment Region.

About the Role

The Hub Pathways Manager will forge and develop partnerships of trust with local community organisations, employers/industry groups, chambers of commerce, RTO's, schools, specialist services and peak bodies. Your work will involve understanding the specific needs of our partners to develop tailored solutions while facilitating supports, pathways to employment and work experience placements.

You will be responsible for creating opportunities for our partners to deliver their range of specialist support services to OCTEC participants on-site in our Community Hubs. By arranging co-location spaces to key youth, health, housing, educational, and culturally specific organisations, OCTEC continues to build new opportunities for integrated and wholistic services for vulnerable youth in these Hubs

This role will also be responsible for developing referral pathways for youth not engaged with employment services to register with OCTEC’s Transition to Work Program.

Your efforts will directly contribute to connecting local job seekers, including those not on Centrelink benefits with employment opportunities within the community by leveraging OCTEC’s tools and support packages, including our Biz Support services.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, support services, local councils, Indigenous Support Services, schools, Registered Training Organisations,



health services and government agencies.

- Develop innovative programs and activities for all OCTEC Community Hub locations within the Region in partnership with stakeholders

- Identify opportunities to establish formal and informal referral pathways

- Promote OCTEC’s services to community stakeholders and referral partners.

- Attend community networking events, forums, expos and interagency meetings.

- Represent OCTEC professionally within the local community.

- Identify opportunities for collaborative projects and community initiatives.

What we're looking for:

- Self-motivated individuals with strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with local employers and community members at all levels

- Ability to create strategic partnerships and facilitate the development of MOU’s with community organisations and other stakeholders.

- A genuine interest in supporting local businesses and creating employment opportunities within the community

- Experience in sales, Workforce Australia, IEA, TTW, recruitment or related industries (highly desirable).
