The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia & Northern Territory is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a current Human Capital Management System (HCMS). Reporting to the Executive General Manager, People, Culture & Environment, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of this enterprise-wide transformation project, ensuring strong governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and successful adoption across the organisation.
Working closely with senior leaders, vendors, and cross functional teams, you will deliver a scalable, future focused HCMS that enhances workforce capability and supports the organisation's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the HCMS implementation using contemporary project management methodologies.
- Develop and manage project governance, schedules, budgets, reporting, and risk management frameworks.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver system configuration, testing, deployment, and go-live activities.
- Lead organisational change management initiatives to maximise user adoption and business readiness.
- Oversee data migration, system integration, user acceptance testing and transition to business-as-usual.
- Monitor project performance, vendor deliverables,
and benefits realisation against agreed KPIs.
- Build strong collaborative relationships across People & Culture, ICT, Payroll, Finance, and executive leadership.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering Human Capital Management System (HCMS) implementations within medium to large organisations.
- Strong understanding of HR and People & Culture functions, including workforce planning, payroll, learning and talent management.
- Proven project management expertise, including governance, budgeting, reporting, and risk management.
- Experience leading complex enterprise technology implementation projects and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience leading organisational change and driving successful user adoption.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience working within complex, highly regulated or compliance-driven environments will be highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, HR, IT or a related discipline, with formal project management qualifications (PMP or PRINCE2) highly desirable.
