About the Project

We're delivering a significant marine wharf extension project at Cape York in Far North Queensland that will play an important role in supporting future regional capability. Currently in the final stages of project negotiation, this is an exciting opportunity to join the team early and establish quality systems that will underpin successful project delivery.

Working alongside experienced project leaders, you'll help embed a culture of quality across all phases of construction while ensuring compliance with project and client requirements.

About the Role

As Quality and Completions Manager, you'll lead the implementation and management of the project's quality management systems, ensuring construction activities consistently meet contractual, regulatory and company requirements. You will also be responsible for overseeing the completions framework, ensuring a structured, compliant and efficient transition from construction through to handover and final completion. Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll work closely with engineering, construction, commercial and client teams to drive quality outcomes across every stage of delivery.

This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll influence project performance, champion continuous improvement and build a strong culture of quality on a landmark marine infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the implementation of the project's quality management systems.
- Manage audits, inspections and quality assurance activities.
- Monitor compliance and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Partner with project teams to embed quality across all work activities.
- Oversee completions, including work lot closure and verification.
- Manage completion documentation (as-builts, test records, dossiers).
- Drive defect identification, punch list management and close-out.
- Coordinate handover between construction, commissioning and client.
- Report on project quality performance and identify improvement opportunities.

What will you bring?

- Relevant technical qualification in engineering, construction or quality management.
- Demonstrated quality and completions leadership on marine, structural and/or large-scale structural steel fabrication projects.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, audits, ITPs and construction compliance.
- Proven experience in managing completions processes, including work lot close-out, handover and final documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build collaborative relationships.
