About the role

Reporting to the State Merchant Manager, Trade & Retail, the Account Manager – Merchants will run their own territory as part of a high‑performing sales team in Pinkenba. Key duties include managing relationships with key accounts and smaller independent customers while embodying GWA’s ‘customer first’ ethos.

Responsibilities

- Identify opportunities for developing and implementing sales strategies and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain external relationships with current and potential customers, and internal relationships with key stakeholders across the GWA business.
- Achieve budgeted sales and margin targets and manage defined pricing guidelines.
- Providing technical information both internally and externally.
- Demonstrate new products and emphasize saleable features and benefits.
- Analyze sales statistics to formulate strategies and assist in sales growth.
- Carry out merchant sales plans to achieve various targets.




- Ensure merchants have current displays and are adequately stocked with current point‑of‑sale information, price information, and collateral.
- Maintain day‑to‑day, face‑to‑face contact with the customer base through daily, weekly call cycles and monthly reporting.
- Represent GWA at relevant merchant and trade functions.

Qualifications

- At least 2 years of experience in a similar Account Manager role with robust, relevant industry experience and product knowledge.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and a customer‑centric mindset.
- Background as an experienced brand champion.
- Motivated by challenge and eager to work as part of an engaged and energetic team.
- Analytical mindset with strong MS Excel skills and clear, logical report‑writing abilities.

You must be a citizen, permanent resident, or hold all relevant employment visas and approvals for the location and duration of this position.
