Are you an experienced HSE Advisor who enjoys being out on site, working closely with operations teams, and making a genuine impact on safe project delivery? This is a excellent opportunity to join a civil construction project at Greenbushes on an initial 3 month contract basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role if you excel. This weekday-only role will suit a practical, proactive safety professional who can build strong site relationships, support compliance, and help drive a positive safety culture across civil works. For logistical considerations it would suit a candidate who currently resides in WA’s south west within reasonable driving distance.
About the Role
Working closely with site leadership and project teams, you will provide hands-on HSE support across day-to-day civil construction activities.
- Conduct site inspections, workplace audits and safety observations
- Facilitate pre-starts, toolbox meetings and safety discussions
- Support incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions as required
- Monitor compliance with site procedures, client requirements and WA WHS legislation
- Maintain project HSE documentation, records and reporting
- Promote proactive risk management and continuous improvement
- Provide practical, solutions-focused HSE support across the project

About You
You will be confident, organised and comfortable working in a site-based environment where practical advice, clear communication and strong attention to detail are essential.
- Previous experience as an HSE Advisor within site-based civil construction environments in mining
- Strong knowledge of WA Work Health and Safety legislation
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with crews, supervisors and client representatives
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Current C Class manual driver’s licence
- White Card
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum)
- Current First Aid certification
- ICAM or similar investigation experience (highly regarded)
