Our client is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters with exposure to chemical plants, fuel terminals, refineries, or other high-risk industrial environments to support a growing workload based in Eagle Farm.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability and growth opportunities. We are also open to considering committed 3rd Year Mechanical Fitting Apprentices looking to further develop their skills in a specialised industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform maintenance and repair work on:
- Storage tanks (fixed and floating roofs)
- Transfer pumps and meters
- Pipeline systems
- Vapour recovery systems
- Filtration and additive systems

- Conduct mechanical and energy isolations
- Complete maintenance activities safely and efficiently
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Maintain strong safety, quality, and environmental standards

Skills & Experience Fuel terminal and refinery environments are high-risk workplaces, so a strong commitment to safety is essential.



You will ideally demonstrate experience with:

- Mechanical maintenance in industrial environments
- Basic fabrication and instrumentation
- Hazardous area awareness
- Permit to Work (PTW) systems
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Mechanical and energy isolations
- Confined space entry
- Hot work controls
- Strong communication skills and work ethic

Tickets & Licences

- Current Driver's Licence
- Mechanical Trade Qualification or Certificate II with relevant industry experience
- White Card
- Work at Heights (required)
- Confined Space Entry & Gas Testing (required)
- HRWL – EWP (desirable)

Apprentices Welcome We encourage applications from 3rd Year Mechanical Fitting Apprentices who can commit to full-time hours and are eager to learn within a fuel terminal and industrial maintenance environment. Training and mentoring will be provided for the right candidates.
