Job description
Corporate Group Accountant | Brisbane CBD | Up to $140K + Super
Charterhouse Partnership is exclusively partnering with a leading organisation to identify a high-performing finance qualified for a newly created opportunity within their Group Finance team.
This is an exciting career opportunity for a CA/CPA qualified accountant who is looking to step beyond traditional financial accounting and take on a broader, commercially focused role with genuine exposure to the wider business.
This site-based role will see you working closely with senior stakeholders, operational leaders and finance teams across the organisation.
You will play a key role in driving accurate group reporting, supporting strategic decision-making and improving the way finance operates through process optimisation, automation and continuous improvement.
This is not a role focused solely on producing numbers. It is an opportunity for someone who enjoys understanding the business behind the numbers, partnering with stakeholders and building capability within a growing finance function.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
- Leading month-end and year-end close activities across multiple entities
- Preparing group consolidations and reporting requirements for international stakeholders
- Supporting budgeting,
forecasting and financial performance analysis
- Partnering with business leaders to understand performance, drivers and opportunities
- Managing intercompany accounting, reconciliations and financial controls
- Supporting technical accounting matters, audits and governance requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting processes and finance efficiency
- Coaching and developing offshore finance team members
To be successful, you will bring:
- CA/CPA qualification or equivalent experience
- Strong financial accounting experience within a complex corporate, multinational or multi-entity environment
- Experience across reporting, consolidations, intercompany accounting and financial controls
- The confidence to influence stakeholders and partner with teams outside of finance
- A curious mindset with an interest in AI, technology, automation and improving the way finance delivers value
- The ambition to grow into broader finance leadership responsibilities over time
This opportunity would suit a Senior Financial Accountant, Group Accountant or Assistant Finance Manager who is ready to take ownership of a broader remit and build towards a future operational finance leadership role.
If you are looking for a role that offers genuine scope, visibility and career progression, we would welcome a confidential discussion.
Please contact Kerry Tostevin for additional information.
