Finance Analyst (FP&A;) | 9 Month Contract

Location: Melbourne CBD
Salary: $110,000 + super
Contract: 9 month fixed term

An exciting chance has become available for an ambitious Finance Analyst to join a high-performing team. This role is ideal for someone from a Big 4 or audit background looking to move into a commercially focused FP&A; position. You'll partner closely with stakeholders across the business, take ownership of key P&L; areas, and provide meaningful financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Take ownership of key P&L; reporting lines, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis.
- Coordinate month-end activities, including journal preparation, reconciliations, reporting and variance analysis.
- Deliver insightful analysis of actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Partner with operational and senior stakeholders to support financial decision-making.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and annual planning processes.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership.




- Support the preparation of statutory financial information and assist with external audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.

About You

- CA or CPA qualification (or be working towards completion).
- A background in Big 4/Top 10 audit (not essential).
- Exposure to financial accounting, management accounting or FP&A.;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of financial data.
- A proactive, inquisitive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop.
