Job Description
THE WORK:
Accenture is expanding its Defence Digital Engineering capability following significant growth across the Defence sector.
We are looking for an experienced consulting leader to help build and grow our Defence, Digital & Engineering business. This is a unique opportunity for someone with deep Defence experience, strong networks and a passion for shaping the future of engineering within Australia's Defence ecosystem.
We are looking for a leader who can build a business, bringing trusted client relationships, identifying opportunities, winning work and growing a team around them.
You will work closely with Defence clients, Accenture leadership and our Engineering specialists to develop and deliver innovative solutions.
As a recognised consulting leader who can bring Defence relationships, opportunities and talent, your key responsibilities will be;
- Grow and shape Accenture's Defence Digital Engineering practice.
- Develop trusted relationships across Defence, Defence Industry and key government stakeholders.
- Identify, qualify and pursue current business opportunities.
- Lead strategic client conversations and develop compelling consulting-led solutions.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams across engineering, digital and defence consulting disciplines.
- Partner with Accenture's Engineering, Cloud, Security, AI and Technology practices to deliver integrated client outcomes.
- Support major Defence pursuits, proposals and business development activities.
- Help establish Accenture as a recognised leader in Defence Digital Engineering across Australia.
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Experience working within a leading consulting or professional services organisation.
- A solid Defence industry network and established client relationships.
- Experience developing business, originating opportunities and contributing to revenue growth.
- Strong executive stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Experience leading complex transformation, engineering or technology programs.
- A passion for building teams, developing people and growing capability.
- Strong commercial acumen and consulting skills.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:
- Defence Digital Engineering.
- Systems Engineering.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Engineering transformation and modernisation.
- Cloud-enabled engineering environments.
- Defence platforms, capability development or warfighting systems.
- Asset-intensive industries including Defence, Aerospace, Maritime, Rail, Energy or Resources.
Qualification
You'll likely come from a consulting background, you will have built credibility within Defence, developed strong industry relationships and demonstrated the ability to convert those relationships into business growth.
