We're seeking a passionate Culinary Trainer to join our Brisbane Academy on a 9-month maternity leave contract. Based in Cannon Hill, this role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on cooking, mentoring and training while helping develop the next generation of Compass Group chefs.

THE POSITION

• Deliver practical culinary training and competency assessments
• Coach, mentor and support chefs through their learning journey
• Organise kitchens, stock and training resources for practical sessions
• Maintain and update training materials and content as required
• Support food safety, compliance and operational standards
• Conduct site visits to support and upskill teams across Brisbane locations

THE PERSON





• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential)
• Cert IV in Training & Assessment highly regarded
• Strong commercial cookery background with excellent all-round culinary skills
• Experience mentoring, coaching or training team members
• Background in high-end hospitality, catering or premium food environments
• Passion for food, attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation
