Scraper School is an intensive two‑week training program designed to equip individuals with comprehensive knowledge and hands‑on experience in operating a scraper.

Week 1

is held at our headquarters in Waroona, where students will engage in a classroom‑based learning environment led by our expert trainers and assessors. The curriculum covers critical topics such as mine site safety, mine site operations, and a thorough understanding of scraper operations.

Week 2

transitions to practical, on‑site training at one of Charles Hull’s private sites. Here, students will operate a scraper for five days, applying their knowledge in real‑world scenarios. Throughout this period,



instructors will provide personalised feedback and highlight opportunities for improvement.

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be offered full‑time employment and assigned to a site to begin their skilled journey in scraper operations.

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate:

- A positive, can‑do attitude with the ability to work well in a team
- Willingness to complete both classroom and practical training
- A strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow procedures
- Be located within a reasonable travel distance to Waroona

About you:

- Over the age of 18
- Current WA Drivers Licence (Provisional is acceptable but may narrow location options)
- Safety focused mindset with a solid work ethic
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and drug and alcohol screening

Once your training is successfully completed, opportunities are guaranteed in the following work locations:

- Pinjarra Alcoa
- Boddington South32 (bus routes from Mandurah are available)
