TEBCO is looking for a reliable and hard-working General Labourer / Workshop Hand to join our metal fabrication and manufacturing team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is practical, dependable, and happy to get stuck into a variety of workshop and yard duties. The work will include metal grinding, painting, cleaning, general labouring, and helping tradespeople keep jobs moving.
About the Role
You will assist with day-to-day workshop and yard operations, including:
- Grinding and cleaning metal components
- Painting and preparing steel products
- Keeping the yard and workshop clean, organised, and safe
- Moving materials and assisting with loading/unloading
- Helping tradespeople and machine operators as required
- General labouring duties around the workshop
- Using hand tools and basic workshop equipment
- Following workplace safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
The right person will be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to drive a forklift. Forklift license would be ideal,
however we can assist with obtaining this for the right cadidate.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Able to work safely in a busy workshop environment
- Comfortable working outdoors and in a manufacturing yard
- A good team player with a practical attitude
Previous experience in a workshop, metal fabrication, construction, farming, or labouring role would be helpful, but it is not essential. A strong work ethic and good attitude are more important.
