Role Description

We are seeking a hands-on and organised Accountant to support the day-to-day finance operations of our fast-growing business. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles with 2 to 3 years of experience, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

This role is a key local support position within our finance function — working closely with the Head of Finance in Australia and coordinating with our offshore accounting team to ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial outputs. You’ll act as one of the “on-the-ground” finance point people, helping bridge communication between accounts, sales and operations, maintain process discipline, and continuously improve how we deliver financial reporting and control across entities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in an accurate and timely manner.

- Perform bank reconciliations and assist in maintaining the general ledger.

- Support month-end and year-end close procedures,



including journal entries and reconciliations.

- Assist with preparing financial reports and supporting documentation.

Operational Finance & Control:

- Work with the Head of Finance, the other Junior Accountant, and the Operations team to ensure smooth order-to-cash and procure-to-pay workflows.

- Help maintain financial records and support implementation of process improvements.

- Ensure invoices, receipts, and other supporting documentation are correctly filed and compliant.

Compliance & Reporting:

- Assist in preparing and filing GST/VAT returns and other compliance reports in collaboration with external accounting partners.

- Help ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- 2+ years of progressive experience in a fast-paced environment.

- Good foundation of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with ERP systems (Xero, Odoo a plus)

- Understanding of AU, US and UK regulations and compliance is a bonus

- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Must be an Australian permanent resident or citizen with eligibility to work in Australia.
