About the role
Working in this role you will provide a wide range of administrative support to maintain financial, client and rostering systems, in addition to efficient and confidential support to the Regional Operations Manager who manages this home.
You will have excellent organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail and solid IT skills to ensure the home’s administrative processes are streamlined and effective. You will also enjoy being the first person to greet visitors, families and loved ones, and be the go‑to person for general enquiries.
Some of your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Assisting with new admissions to the home and preparing records for new residents
- Liaising with managers when vacancies occur to ascertain the type of resident required
- Maintaining relevant documentation such as resident lists as directed by managers
- Liaising with residents and their families to support the transition into care from an administrative perspective
- Coordinating and assisting the manager with rostering as required
- Maintaining various computer databases
- Reception duties – face‑to‑face and over the phone
- Processing invoices for payment and maintaining petty cash
- Maintaining staff personal records, including registrations and certificates
- Assisting in minute‑taking for committee meetings as required
What will you bring to the role?
- Experience working in an administrative role within aged care or health care setting (desirable)
- Administrative and reception experience
- Understanding of staff rosters
- Excellent written, oral and numerical skills
- Problem‑solving skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people
- High‑level information technology skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
