We are seeking a motivated Accounting Intern to join a skilled accounting firm in Sydney. This internship provides hands-on experience across accounting, bookkeeping, taxation, payroll, and financial reporting while helping you develop practical skills in an Australian business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with bookkeeping and day-to-day accounting tasks
- Support the preparation of financial statements and working papers
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Assist with BAS, GST, and payroll processing
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with general finance and administrative duties
Skills & Qualifications
- Currently studying or recently completed a qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Xero, MYOB, or Quick Books is advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
