Initial six-week contract with potential extension

Cloud Marc is seeking an experienced Data Test Engineer to join a high-profile project within a contemporary, cloud-based data environment.

This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring the quality, accuracy and integrity of complex data solutions through effective testing and automation.

Key responsibilities:

- Design, develop and execute data-testing activities across cloud platforms.
- Validate ETL/ELT processes and end-to-end data flows.
- Build and maintain automated testing solutions.
- Write complex SQL queries to validate data quality and integrity.
- Identify, investigate and support the resolution of data defects.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to test planning, execution and reporting in an Agile environment.

Required experience:

- Advanced SQL skills.
- Experience developing or maintaining test-automation frameworks.




- Experience testing data warehouses, data lakes or modern data platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Availability to start immediately or at short notice.

Highly desirable:

- Big Query experience.
- Experience testing data pipelines and APIs.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
