Position Overview: As a Produce Assistant Manager, you will assist in every aspect of the produce department—from inventory and ordering to presentation and pricing—ensuring consistently high quality, appealing displays, and excellent customer satisfaction. You will also receive full internal support to help you succeed in this leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inventory & Ordering: Accurately order and receive produce to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste.

- Stock Management & Rotation: Monitor inventory, conduct stock checks, rotate items,



and promptly remove outdated produce.

- Merchandising & Display: Create eye-catching, well-organised displays that uphold company merchandising standards and seasonal themes.

- Pricing & Promotions: Set and update product pricing in line with merchandising plans. Assist with promotional planning and execution to boost sales.

- Quality Control: Ensure all produce meets freshness and quality standards, trimming and preparing items as needed for presentation.

- Customer Service: Provide knowledgeable, friendly service—assisting customers with produce inquiries and maintaining client satisfaction.

- Sanitation & Safety: Maintain cleanliness and adhere to health and safety standards throughout the department.

- Expense & Waste Control: Manage labor and ordering practices to reduce costs and shrinkage. Maintain efficient inventory and minimize spoilage.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Proven experience in produce, grocery retail, or related management roles.

- Robust attention to detail, organizational ability, and leadership skills.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Basic skill with inventory systems or office software preferred.

- Capable of physically handling fresh produce (lifting, standing, trimming).
