About the role
A Sydney‑based Event Coordinator in the Events & Operations department will support the Hospitality & Corporate Events team in Planning, Coordinating, and Delivering Cricket Australia’s Premium Experiences and Executive Hospitality across the cricket season. Reporting to the Senior Hospitality & Corporate Events Manager, the role involves managing hospitality operations for matches and events.
Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent Premium Experiences and Executive Hospitality across matches and markets.
- Coordinate match‑day hospitality set‑up, catering, fit‑out and merchandise.
- Manage venue and caterer relationships, briefings and service standards.
- Develop hospitality artwork, signage and production requirements.
- Support MC, talent and player appearance requirements, including stakeholder communication and on‑site coordination.
- Prepare casual event staff briefing materials and support on‑site staff coordination.
- Maintain hospitality information across key event systems, including the Match Day Information Hub, Monday.com and Venue Guides.
- Support guest management, table allocations and place cards.
- Manage The First XI bucket‑list experience and on‑site activation.
- Prepare run sheets, event orders, briefings and floor plans.
- Maintain hospitality procedures and operational manuals.
- Support event budgets, invoicing, reconciliations and reporting.
- Deliver exceptional guest and client experiences.
- Ensure event health, safety and compliance requirements are met.
- Attend planning meetings,
operational briefings and post‑event debriefs.
- Support key special events across the season.
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in events, hospitality or sport.
- Robust stakeholder and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities.
- Positive, energetic team player.
- Calm problem‑solver under pressure.
- Proactive, accountable and autonomous.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Sports or major event software such as EventsAir, Monday.com or Canva is desirable.
- Cricket knowledge desirable.
- Ability to travel domestically.
- Available evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Comfortable with physical event delivery.
