Lead Innovation in Palliative Care

About This Role

The Brisbane South Palliative Care Collaborative is looking for a Clinical Nurse Consultant to lead statewide palliative care education, quality improvement, research and digital health initiatives to improve end‑of‑life care across Queensland. This is a temporary part‑time position, 15.2 hours per fortnight, for a 12‑month contract with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

- Lead and deliver statewide palliative care improvement projects.
- Develop and deliver evidence‑based education and training.
- Provide expert clinical advice and consultancy across health‑care settings.
- Drive quality improvement, research and evaluation initiatives.

About You

- Registered Nurse with advanced palliative care expertise.
- Strong leadership, project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience delivering education, quality improvement or research initiatives.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking and collaborative practice skills.

About the Organization

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health‑care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. It hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute, and a new Clinical Research Facility for testing TRI discoveries in a safe clinical environment.

PAH is expanding with new beds, modernised buildings and planned services for kidney and cancer patients to open by 2027.
