Patricia Giles Centre for Non-Violence is a specialist family and domestic violence service supporting the safety, wellbeing and recovery of women and children experiencing violence and abuse. Position
Reporting to the Executive Manager Corporate Services, the Senior HR Business Partner is a key strategic role within the Corporate Services leadership function. The position will partner with leaders across the organisation to develop and implement people strategies that support organisational effectiveness, workforce capability, cultural alignment and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the delivery of strategic and operational HR services across the organisation.
- Partnering with the Executive and Senior Leadership Team on workforce strategy, organisational effectiveness and people related risks.
- Leading workforce planning, talent management, succession planning and organisational development initiatives.
- Managing complex employee and industrial relations matters, including performance, conduct, investigations, grievances and workplace conflict.
- Supporting organisational change, including restructures, workforce transitions and service redesign initiatives.
- Building leadership capability through coaching, mentoring and targeted development.
- Overseeing recruitment, workforce development and learning initiatives.
- Using workforce data and insights to support decision making and continuous improvement.
- Reviewing HR policies, governance frameworks, WHS compliance and legislative compliance.
- Supporting a psychologically safe, values-driven and trauma-informed workplace.
About You
You are an experienced HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders to solve complex workforce challenges while contributing to organisational capability and culture. Commercially aware and highly collaborative, you combine sound judgement with strong technical HR expertise and a ‘heart and mind’ approach to your work. You will also possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Employment Relations or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior HR business partnering, advisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations and contemporary HR practice.
- Proven capability managing complex employee relations matters including investigations, performance, conduct and workplace conflict.
- Experience in workforce planning, organisational development, leadership capability and organisational change.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, coaching and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use workforce data to support decision-making.
- Experience within community services, health or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
- A commitment to values-based, culturally safe and trauma-informed practice.
