About the role
A rareopportunityhas arisen towork with us in AcuteSpecialist Clinics at Box Hill Hospital on a temporarypart timebasis. Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Registered Nurse with experience in general medical and surgical/orthopaedic or plastics nursing?
Are you looking for a new challenge? Specialist clinics at Box Hill Hospital is a busy department of the hospital meeting the needs of patients from the community by providing a range of specialist services. Approximately 160 000 occasions of service are provided annually for new patients accessing specialist services, review appointments for ongoing care or post admission (from the Emergency Department or wards).
About you
- Recent experience in specialist clinics and/or surgical nursing
- Have an interest in wound managementand care
- Thrive in a busy team environment with well‑developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a diverse multidisciplinary team
- Strong commitment to high quality patient care
- Be flexible, dependable, organized and caring
- Understanding, or willingness to learn, programmes such as CPF, iPMandeMR
- Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
