About the role
Team Global Express seeks a Forklift Operator / HC Driver to commence immediately in Gracemere, Rockhampton. This is a Full‑Time Permanent role, Monday to Friday. The position focuses on forklift operations within a transport environment, supporting the safe and efficient movement of freight across our operations. You will be responsible for unloading vehicles, loading and unloading containers, preparing PUD vehicles, and ensuring freight is handled safely and efficiently. The role also includes HC truck driving duties on an as‑required basis, assisting with vehicle movements, deliveries and broader transport operations when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to safely load and unload vehicles, containers, trailers and PUD vehicles.
- Load, unload and stage freight within operational areas.
- Prepare freight for delivery runs, ensuring vehicles are loaded correctly and safely.
- Assist with container loading and unloading activities.
- Undertake HC driving duties when required, including customer deliveries and supporting semi‑trailer operations.
- Complete vehicle pre‑start checks, delivery documentation and required transport paperwork accurately.
- Ensure all freight is handled, loaded and secured in accordance with company procedures and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
- Complete freight scanning and documentation accurately.
- Maintain forklifts, vehicles, equipment and work areas in a clean, secure and serviceable condition.
- Follow all company procedures, including hazard, near miss and incident reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Forklift (LF)
Licence.
- Current HC Licence or higher (highly regarded for additional operational support).
- Previous experience operating forklifts within a transport, freight or logistics environment.
- Experience loading and unloading vehicles, containers and PUD vehicles.
- Previous experience completing HC deliveries or working within general freight transport operations.
- Strong understanding of safe freight handling practices and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
- Ability to work autonomously, follow instructions and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Full working rights in Australia.
