On a typical day, you will converse with the model in Guaraní across a wide range of topics, verify linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance, capture reproducible error traces, and suggest improvements to our prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

A Master's degree in Linguistics, Indigenous Studies, Translation, or a related field is ideal; professional experience in teaching, translation, language documentation, or community work signals fit. Clear,



metacognitive communication—“showing your work”—is essential.

Responsibilities

- Converse with the AI model in Guaraní on a wide range of topics.
- Verify linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance of generated content.
- Capture and document reproducible error traces for model hardening.
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering, evaluation metrics, and model training data.
- Document failure modes and provide actionable feedback to the AI engineering team.

Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Linguistics, Indigenous Studies, Translation, or a closely related field.
- Professional experience in teaching, translation, language documentation, or community work.
- Deep knowledge of Guaraní regional dialects, phonetics, syntax, idiomatic expressions, oral traditions, and cultural references.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Guaraní and English.
- Solid metacognitive communication skills—ability to “show your work” and explain reasoning.

Compensation

Pay range: $8‑to‑$65 per hour, with the exact hourly rate determined after evaluating your experience, expertise, and geographic location. As a contractor you will supply a secure computer and high‑speed internet; company‑sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
