Senior .Net Engineer (Brisbane-Based)
This is a permanent prospect offering hybrid work arrangements based in the Brisbane CBD and a base salary up to $140k.
Overview
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and supporting high quality application solutions that meet business needs and are delivered on time. This role plays a key part in improving platforms, driving technical standards, and ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and easy to maintain. You will contribute strong technical judgement, support team delivery, and help manage risk across the software lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain application solutions aligned to the organisation’s technical strategy.
- Analyse change requests and implement system enhancements in line with agreed standards and processes.
- Diagnose, prioritise, and resolve incidents and defects, including root cause analysis and preventative actions.
- Configure and test software across platforms, documenting outcomes and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Perform code and design reviews to ensure consistent, high quality engineering outcomes.
- Support release activities including build preparation, scheduling input, and coordination with testing teams.
- Recommend and design system structures and tools that meet business, performance, and security requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and advice to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
- Promote continuous improvement practices within the team.
- Identify and escape risks in line with internal risk management frameworks.
- Provide accurate effort, cost, and timeline estimates through planning and design activities.
- Contribute to team leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in on call or after hours support as required to meet service levels.
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably required.
Skills and Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Extensive experience operating at a senior level in software development roles.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver work in complex environments.
- Experience working within medium to large organisations.
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, release management, and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to mentor others and clearly explain technical concepts.
Desirable
- Experience within financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks.
- Experience supporting high volume, transaction based systems.

Casual Loading
