Futuretech is a specialised training centre within Holmesglen’s Faculty of Building, Construction and Engineering, developed in partnership with the Electrical Trades Union (ETU). Based at the Arden Street campus, it delivers pre‑apprenticeship, apprenticeship, and industry‑focused electrotechnology programs using advanced training technologies and real‑world learning environments. Futuretech is committed to producing job‑ready graduates equipped to meet the evolving needs of the electrical and related industries.

A Vocational Education and Training (VET) teacher develops resources, delivery and assessment tools and delivers quality education, training and assessment in accordance with the relevant regulatory standards including Standards for Registered Training Organisations (2015), Training Package requirements, Institute Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS) documents and contractual and funding agreement requirements.





A teacher participates in all facets of the learning process and manages the learning process for learners using a variety of teaching and assessment strategies appropriate to diverse learning needs.

In meeting its objectives, the role provides exceptional customer service and works collegially as part of a team to achieve quality successful learning outcomes.

To be successful, you’ll have:

- An approved degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110) or its successor.
- An approved diploma or higher‑level qualification in adult education or vocational education and training.
- A secondary teaching qualification and one of the following credentials:
- TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set
- TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor
- TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor.

- Current licences necessary to practice, or registration and/or membership of a relevant industry association where applicable.
- WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
- An approved course of adult teacher training accredited at Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 5 or Level 6 with:





- Studies in adult learning methodology.
- Studies in teaching in a Vocational Education environment.
- Studies in Applied Research.
- 200 hours of supervised practicum.

- A higher degree or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field.
