Position: Azure Architect
3‑month contract, with likely extensions. We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Architect to lead the design and delivery of high‑performing, secure and resilient cloud solutions. In this pivotal role you will be a technical engine driving our Azure strategy, translating complex architectural visions into production‑ready reality. Leveraging cutting‑edge DevOps and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) , you will help eliminate manual overhead and build a culture of automated, repeatable excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design: Create robust Azure architectures across application, data and integration layers, ensuring performance and scale.
- Hands‑on Implementation: Build and deploy Azure environments using IaC and automated DevOps pipelines.
- Security & Compliance: Embed security, identity management and compliance standards into every solution.
- Technical Guidance: Provide leadership and mentorship to delivery teams, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Collaboration: Partner with the Lead Architect to refine target‑state designs and ensure technical alignment across squads.
- Optimization: Troubleshoot complex technical hurdles and optimise cloud performance for cost‑effectiveness and reliability.
Key Skills & Experience
- Azure expertise: Extensive hands‑on experience across a broad range of Microsoft Azure services.
- Cloud‑native design: Deep understanding of modern application and platform architecture.
- Automation & DevOps: Proficiency with CI/CD workflows and IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep or Azure DevOps).
- Security mindset: Proven track record of implementing security‑focused designs in a cloud environment.
- Problem solving: Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues in production‑grade environments.
Desirable Skills
- AI integration: Practical knowledge of Azure AI capabilities, including intelligent application design and AI model integration.
