DP World is seeking a Injury Management Advisor to join our Melbourne team. In this role, you will oversee the safe, timely and cost-effective return of employees to their pre-injury duties, leading outcome-focused case management of work-related injuries while ensuring legislative compliance and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will manage 25+ early intervention worker’s compensation claims, develop return to work plans, ensure employees receive their entitlements and drive claim reduction strategies.

Working closely with internal stakeholders including employees, operations and senior management, you will also partner with external providers such as insurers and medical professionals to support positive outcomes.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday, and involves travel between various operational sites as part of its requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Engage internal stakeholders to integrate injury management processes with business needs, ensuring timely communication of restrictions and return-to-work plans
- Implement early intervention strategies to support safe, timely and sustainable return to pre-injury duties
- Manage claims and financial outcomes by ensuring accurate payment processing and developing cost-effective strategies to support premium reduction




- Build trusted relationships with injured employees, leaders and external stakeholders to support effective case management and early intervention
- Ensure legislative compliance through accurate claims administration, record keeping and reporting, while coordinating complex cases with tailored return-to-work plans and assessments

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

- Allied health and/or occupational rehabilitation experience (highly desirable)
- 2+ year’s experience in worker’s compensation and return-to-work processes within an industrial environment
- Strong understanding of worker’s compensation legislation and employer obligations
- Proven experience in developing and managing return-to-work plans, documentation and reporting
- Robust communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and align multiple parties
- Proficient in MS Office, with demonstrated knowledge of injury management protocols and strong capabilities in initiative, accountability, teamwork and quality focus
