About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Data Architect with a strong background in Machine Learning, AI architecture, and contemporary Azure technologies to join a high-performing team delivering creative AI solutions across a large enterprise environment. This role is focused on designing and architecting next-generation AI and machine learning platforms, with a particular emphasis on Agentic AI, ML optimisation, and intelligent edge solutions. You'll work closely with data scientists, ML engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and production-ready AI capabilities. This is an exciting prospect for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems using modern AI technologies and has experience bridging data architecture, machine learning, and application development.

Responsibilities

- Design and architect scalable AI, machine learning, and data solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Lead the architecture and implementation of Agentic AI solutions using Microsoft's AI ecosystem.
- Develop secure, scalable, and production-ready AI platforms and ML workflows.
- Design data architectures that support AI model training, deployment, inference, and governance.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to optimise machine learning models for production environments.
- Drive ML optimisation initiatives across areas such as product range optimisation and space optimisation.
- Contribute to AI solutions focused on loss prevention, including computer vision and facial recognition leveraging intelligent edge technologies.




- Design architectures that utilise short-term and long-term memory patterns for AI agents.
- Ensure AI platforms meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, governance, and operational excellence.
- Work closely with application development teams to integrate AI capabilities into business applications.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across AI and data initiatives.

Required Skills

- Proven experience as a Data Architect, AI Architect, Machine Learning Architect, or similar role.
- Strong experience designing AI and machine learning solutions.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Agent Framework
- Redis
- Proven experience of MLOps, AI deployment, model lifecycle management, and production AI systems.
- Experience working with REST APIs and integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and solution design skills.
- Must have experience working on large complex data platforms or data warehousing projects.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Agentic AI architectures and autonomous AI agents.
- Experience designing AI memory architectures using Redis and Cosmos DB for short-term and long-term memory.
- Experience in ML optimisation, including areas such as range optimisation and space optimisation.
- Experience developing computer vision or facial recognition solutions.
- Exposure to intelligent edge technologies.
- Previous software or application development experience,



with the ability to work across both AI and application architecture.
- Experience working within large enterprise or retail environments.
