Join our team of mobile clinicians as an adult‑servicing Speech Pathologist delivering dysphagia and communication assessment and intervention for adults living in residential aged care and the community. Open to recent graduates and experienced clinicians.
Reporting & Work Pattern
Report to the state‑based Speech Pathology Team Leader. This is a casual position of one day a week, servicing two RAC facilities in Tamworth, NSW, with potential national travel. Opportunities for telehealth‑based assessments and contractor consultancy are also available.
Responsibilities
- Manage your calendar of appointments, choosing work hours and locations that suit you.
- Assess and diagnose clients’ swallowing and communication difficulties.
- Provide dysphagia and/or communication assessment and intervention via telehealth.
- Coordinate with the national team of Speech Pathologists.
- Advocate for support for clients with communication difficulties.
- Work closely with organisational staff, support coordinators and Plena colleagues to meet care needs.
- Provide consultative and educational support to clients, their families and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification in Speech Pathology with an active membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- Driver’s licence and reliable transportation for travel.
- Recent graduate or experienced clinician is acceptable.
