About The Role:

Play a key role in protecting and enhancing MRM’s environmental performance by delivering monitoring and reporting programs, providing technical guidance, and supporting the achievement of environmental commitments and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordination and implementation of monitoring programs as per the Environmental Monitoring Schedule
- Coordination of ad hoc sampling as directed by the Environmental Supervisor
- Management of environmental monitoring data
- Management of monitoring documentation (e.g. field sheets and lab submission forms)
- Assistance with water discharges




- Preparation of internal and external reports and data submissionLiaison with environmental laboratories, internal stakeholders and relevant consultant
- Completion of Workplace Safety Observations and environmental inspections as per schedule
- Identification of continuous improvement, efficiency opportunities and hazards

Key Requirements:

- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science (or similar)
- Relevant demonstrated experience of at least 2 years working in mining or heavy industry is preferable
- Experience in environmental data management systems
- Competency in GIS mapping
- The ability to communicate effectively; adapt to changing priorities and to work in a team and independently
- A solid commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
