Our client is a major NSW government authority that is responsible for building and managing the mission critical communications for emergency, essential and government services

Role Description:

The Senior Construction Project Manager will be engaged on long term contract to support the expansion and enhancement of the Public Safety Network; delivering increased outdoor and in-building coverage to ensure reliable critical communications for emergency services and government agencies across NSW.

Essentially; leading the delivery of major telecommunications infrastructure projects (program and portfolio), overseeing vendor performance, construction schedules, program risks and project outcomes

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and govern contractor, construction vendor and supplier performance against project milestones.
- Review project schedules and implement recovery plans where required
- Manage budget, variations and change requests.
- Coordinate demand planning and construction delivery activities to ensure all program of works are completed as per schedule dforecast.
- Lead stakeholder engagement across commercial, engineering and program teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
- Single point of contact to manage any project issues and site escalations.

Skills and Experience:





- Experienced project leader with a strong background in telecommunications, construction or large-scale infrastructure programs

- Senior experience with a high degree of competency governing end-end delivery

- Public Safety Network (PSN) or critical communications knowledge is advatageous

- Experience overseeing material ordering, scheduling, capital works, dependencies, Free Issue Material, suppliers, subcontractors, change requests costs
- In-Building Coverage (IBC) experience an advantage
- experience an advantage

- Project 25 (P25) experience or knowledge is helpful

- Strong adherence to safety is key - competency in managing SWMS (Secure Work Method Statement)

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
