A full time position exists for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, based at Unanderra. You will be working on a variety of Kenworth and Western Star Trucks plus Drake and Smith Trailers.

The Role

- Monday to Friday with overtime.
- Schedule servicing of Trucks and Trailers – Kenworth and Western Star Trucks, including K200 cab overs, C509, C510 and Western Star Big Foots, Drake Floats & Trailers, and Smith Tippers (Side and End).
- Based at Unanderra with Site work @ 21 Area BlueScope.
- Ability to problem solve and work outside the box especially with breakdowns and larger projects as required.
- Organisation skills with the ability to control parts stock.
- Create and update job cards and servicing documents.
- Working individually or within a team.




- Positive attitude to Work, Health and Safety and the setting.

Skills

Trade qualified heavy vehicle diesel mechanic (essential)
- Drivers Licence (HR an advantage but not essential)
- Forklift Licence (an advantage, will be provided)
- Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Basic computer skills. (training provided)
