Our Opportunity

We are currently looking for an Associate to join our Australian disputes practice, in our Sydney office.

We are looking for Associates who have good judgment, excellent analytical skills, and broad subject matter experience across construction, regulatory issues (especially ACCC, ASIC and AER), private international law, public international law, insurance, contract, corporate and other typical commercial issues (including tech regulatory).

Duties and Accountabilities

- Develop claims and disputes strategy for clients involved in major projects and oversee counsel and experts to implement strategy.
- Draft motions, trial briefs, examination outlines and other documents for domestic and international matters.
- Guide clients through regulatory investigations.
- Coordinate experts and Counsel engagements.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes Required

- 1-2 years of litigation/law firm experience
- Australian qualified (or willing to re-qualify in Australia)
- Team player, who adopts a ‘firm/team first’ mindset
- Valuable understanding of the key risks and issues involved in multi-party construction
- Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity
- Take ownership and accountability for tasks
- Outstanding communication skills
- Self-starter and takes ownership of career development
- Resilient, solutions-focused and can work effectively and productively under pressure
- Client service focus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
