We are a rehabilitation and performance facility located within the Powerhouse Gym Mount Gravatt. We are looking for a Sports Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist or Sports Science graduate to deliver exceptional evidence based management for our majority athlete population, as well as some gen pop clientele.

About the role:

- You will conduct injury assessment for both acute and chronic sporting injuries, as well as construct and deliver programs for our injured athletes

- You will also be responsible for the delivery of programs within our Athlete Performance Program

The type of Practitioner we’re looking for:

- To be enthusiastic in your athlete care, show a genuine interest in their sporting performance and rehabilitation outcomes

- Competent in sports rehab and performance programming, using intuition to prescribe appropriate programs and exercises at key points for our athletes

- Being comfortable on the gym floor, working towards being able to manage multiple athletes in our group rehab and performance sessions

- A desire to be hungry for knowledge in the sports injury and performance space

- A genuine interest in the growth of Sports and Functional Athletes Authority, showing eagerness in attracting athletes to our facility and a drive to uphold our facility as a premium rehab and performance centre

Key roles and responsibilities:

- Perform initial assessments for our majority athletic population,



with some gen pop clientele

- Be heavily involved in the construction and delivery of programs for our rehab and performance athletes on the gym floor

- Build solid, healthy relationships with athletes

- Keep clearly written documentation and notes for all athletes and clientele

- Present monthly presentations to other staff on sports injury topics as part of our professional development

- Develop and foster relationships with specialists whom have referred clients to Sports and Functional Physiotherapy

- Film and post to our social media account to help drive athletes to our clinic

- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with gym members and gym staff

Please be aware that although our clientele is 95% athletic population (team sports or individual sports), we still see a minority of gen pop clientele (weekend warrior, Hyrox etc).

However our focus is majority athletic and gym based populations which is growing stronger as our sports rehab and Athletic Performance Program continues to grow.

Essential Requirements

- First Aid Certificate
- Current Provide/Perform CPR
- Physiotherapy Masters of Bachelors Degree from Accredited University
- Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science, or Bachelor of Exercise Physiology

Pay: $30.00 – $50.00 per hour
