Executive Housekeeper | Pre-Opening Luxury Hotel

The EQ Hotel is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Housekeeper to join our leadership team ahead of the opening of Perth’s newest luxury hotel.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the Housekeeping function from pre-opening through to operations, establishing standards, systems, and a service culture that delivers exceptional guest experiences and immaculate presentation across the hotel.
Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, the Executive Housekeeper will lead all housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, presentation, safety, and operational efficiency across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
About the Role
As part of the pre-opening leadership team, you will be responsible for establishing housekeeping systems, service standards, operating procedures, recruitment plans, training programs, inventories, and operational workflows prior to opening.
Following opening, you will oversee all housekeeping operations, driving quality, productivity, guest satisfaction, financial performance, team engagement, and compliance with hotel standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role within a luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, laundry, and housekeeping support functions
- Develop and implement housekeeping systems, SOPs, service standards, and operational workflows
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop the housekeeping team
- Establish linen, amenity, equipment, and inventory management processes
- Conduct room inspections, quality audits, and compliance reviews
- Ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort
- Manage guest laundry, lost property, deep cleaning programs,
and housekeeping administration
- Investigate guest feedback and service issues and implement corrective actions
- Monitor labour productivity, scheduling, and departmental performance
- Manage departmental budgets, expenses, procurement, and supplier relationships
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency
- Work closely with Front Office, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and operational departments to support the guest experience
About You
- Recent experience as an Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper within a luxury hotel or upscale hospitality environment is essential
- Minimum 5 years' experience in hotel housekeeping leadership roles
- Pre-opening hotel experience highly regarded
- Solid knowledge of housekeeping operations, quality standards, linen management, inventory control, and labour productivity
- Experience using Opera PMS and hotel service optimisation systems highly regarded
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate large housekeeping teams
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and labour costs
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance operational demands while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Valid Australian work rights
