The Broken Hill Hotel is currently seeking a passionate, reliable, and experienced Qualified Chef to join our dynamic team on a full time basis.

About the Role:
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy kitchen, takes pride in their work, and is committed to delivering high-quality meals consistently. The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working as a chef in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan menus and estimate food and labour costs
- Order and manage food supplies
- Monitor food quality throughout preparation and presentation
- Liaise with management, dietitians, kitchen, and front-of-house staff on food preparation
- Demonstrate cooking techniques and procedures
- Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes
- Ensure strict compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations
- Maintain a high standard under pressure and during busy service periods
- Work full-time hours across a rotating roster

Requirements:





- Trade qualification as a Chef
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Excellent references
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
