Synergie is seeking an Assistant Materials Officer to join our client within the civil infrastructure and construction materials testing industry located in Bundaberg.

The important parts:

- 004 Level 1 pay rate of $48.82 per hour - State Government Contract
- Monday to Friday role with opportunities to travel throughout the Southern Queensland Region
- Entry-level opportunity with on-the-job training and career development in materials testing and laboratory services

What you will be required to do:

Assist the Materials Services team in conducting testing, sampling, investigations and compliance activities that support major road and infrastructure projects.

- Undertake basic materials classification and compliance testing
- Assist with field sampling, pavement investigations and site testing activities
- Operate and maintain testing equipment in accordance with documented procedures
- Perform calculations and record test results using manual and software-based systems
- Adhere to all safety, quality and NATA accreditation requirements

To be successful in the role you will:

- Hold a current C Class Driver Licence (preferred)
- Be physically fit and capable of lifting samples up to 20kg and working outdoors in varying conditions
- Possess sound numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Be willing to travel throughout the Southern Queensland Region, including overnight stays when required
- Have working rights in Australia
- Have access to reliable transport and the ability to get to work




- Demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety and its importance in every role
