MAS Partners are a national accounting firm that provides both Taxation and Business Services to our clients across Australia. We are seeking an experience Accountant with practical Business Services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Providing Accounting Business Services to clients relating to compliance-based financial reporting, accounting information systems; and advises on associated record-keeping requirements
- Assisting in overseeing budgetary and accounting policies
- Preparing financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies
- Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports as required
- Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure and providing recommendation on cost saving measures
- Ensuring the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
- Preparing taxation returns for individuals, partnerships, self-managed super funds, trusts and organisations in collaboration with the Senior Tax Accountants
- Liaising with financial institutions and the Australian Taxation office as required
- Recommending, implementing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems




- Maintaining internal control systems
- Overseeing and managing clients Accounting Systems (Xero, MYOB etc)
- Adopt self checking, continuous learning and improvement processes in all aspects of the position.
- Understand, implement, participate and promote Company Policies and Procedures, and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) objectives, processes and procedures.

Skills and Requirements:

- Relevant Bachelor (Commerce / Accounting) Degree or higher
- 2 + years of proven experience in a similar role
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- High level of attention to detail and highly organised
- Proficient in accounting software (Xero MYOB & QuickBooks)
- Technical and/or Industry experience or knowledge would be ideal
- Solid interpersonal, communication and relationship development skills
- Team player but able to work independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
