Job Title: Service Deli & Café Assistant
Full-Time or Part-Time (Multiple positions available)
We are seeking a vibrant, customer-focused Service Deli & Café Assistant to join our busy team at IGA Bombala. You will be responsible for preparing café-style food, slicing premium meats and presenting top quality deli items while delivering exceptional service to our local customers. Since our store includes a bottle shop, you must hold a valid NSW RSA to assist customers with these purchases.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare and present high quality café-style food, including fresh sandwiches, wraps and hot food selections.
*Provide outstanding friendly customer service and assist with customer enquiries.
*Slice, weigh and package deli meats accurately.
*Prepare and replenish hot and cold displays to high visual standards.
*Maintain strict food safely, hygiene and cleanliness standards in accordance with NSW guidelines.
*Operate slicer, scales, deep-fryers, coffee machine,
food preparation equipment and POS registers safely.
About You
*Availability: Must have full availability to work varied shifts between 6:00AM and 7:30PM, including weekends and public holidays.
*Previous experience in a Deli, Café or fast-paced food preparation environment is highly desired but not essential (on-the-job training provided).
*Must hold a current Food Handling Certificate (SITXFSA005/SITXFSA006 or equivalent).
*Must hold a valid NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) competency card.
*Strong communication skills and a welcoming positive attitude.
