Position Title: Enrolled Nurse – Day Surgery

Department: Day Surgery Unit – Admissions and Stage 2 Recovery

Reporting To: Nursing Unit Manager

Terms: Full Time/ Part Time/ Casual

Remuneration: EBA – Nurses and Midwives Enterprise Agreement

1. POSITION SUMMARY

As a nurse in our Day Surgery Unit, you’ll meet patient care needs with a smile, providing high
standard direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. As part of a multi-
disciplinary team, you’ll deliver supportive, friendly care.

2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Experience in a day surgery setting

- A genuine passion to provide excellent care for both patients and their loved ones

- Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills

- Effective care of patients, identifying their needs by analysing data





- Ability to work collaboratively with RNs, AINs, and other clinical staff

- Medication administration where qualified

- Strong administration skills, ability to accurately record the patient journey in a timely fashion

- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement

- Strong attention to detail, ensuring patient safety at all times

- The ability to stay calm under pressure

- A great sense of teamwork and effective communication skills. You're happy to seek guidance

when you need it.
- A genuine understanding of Wyvern Private Hospital's "Care Without Compromise" philosophy

3. OTHER REQUIREMENTS

- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered

Nurse, Division 1 (AHPRA)
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience

- Valid Working with Children Check

- National Police Check

- 100-point ID check

- Full Australian Working Rights (Sponsorships not available at this stage)

- Proof of vaccinations
