The role at a glance

WEP coordinators are an invaluable and a highly appreciated part of the student exchange experience. Their role is multifaceted and includes:

- Providing local support to host families and exchange students
- Monitoring student adjustment and assimilation into their Australian families and schools
- Interviewing host families
- Interviewing outbound students
- Helping with recruitment of host families
- Helping out at airports around Australia, assisting outbound students with check-in procedures or meeting inbound students and helping them with domestic transfers

Although a volunteer role, WEP coordinators are reimbursed for expenses. Importantly, coordinators enjoy the prospect to share the experiences of exchange students and their generous, warm-hearted, volunteer host families.

The WEP coordinator role is rewarding, flexible, educational and fun!
