Our WHY (Our Purpose)

At Kingsford Dental, we believe dentistry is about far more than fixing teeth.

Every patient who walks through our doors deserves to feel welcomed, listened to, and genuinely cared for. Many of our patients arrive feeling anxious, embarrassed, or uncertain. Our mission is to create an environment where they feel comfortable, understood, and confident that they are in good hands.

We combine modern technology with genuine compassion to help people achieve healthier smiles and improve their quality of life. Every conversation, every smile, and every interaction contributes to that experience.

If you believe that making someone's day a little easier is just as important as getting the paperwork right, we'd love to meet you.

Our Values (How We Work)

We are looking for someone who naturally lives these values.

We Care First

We treat every patient as we would a member of our own family.

We listen.
We show empathy.
We make people feel comfortable.

We Love Learning

We don't expect you to know everything.

We do expect you to be curious, ask questions, and enjoy learning something current every day.

We Take Ownership

You don't wait to be told what to do.

You notice things.
You help your teammates.
You solve problems before they become problems.

We Create Great Experiences

Patients remember how we made them feel.

A warm greeting.
Remembering someone's name.
Helping a nervous child smile.

These little moments matter.

We Grow Together

We believe in developing our team.

Many of our staff learn new skills, take on greater responsibilities, and grow into leadership roles over time.

If you are willing to learn, we'll invest in you.

What You'll Be Doing

As the first person many patients meet, you'll help create an outstanding patient experience by:

- Welcoming patients with warmth and professionalism
- Answering phone calls and responding to enquiries
- Scheduling appointments and managing the daily diary
- Helping patients understand treatment appointments and fees
- Processing payments and health fund claims
- Supporting the dentists and dental assistants to keep the day running smoothly
- Maintaining a welcoming and organised reception area
- Following up patients who require further treatment
- Working closely with the entire team to provide exceptional patient care

Who We're Looking For

Experience in dentistry is welcome, but it is not essential.

We are happy to train the right person.

We are looking for someone who:

- Loves working with people
- Has a positive attitude
- Learns quickly
- Is organised and reliable
- Communicates confidently and kindly
- Enjoys working in a busy team setting
- Wants a long-term career rather than just a job

Previous experience in hospitality, retail, childcare, customer service or reception is highly regarded.

Why Join Kingsford Dental?

We believe great people deserve opportunities to grow.

You'll receive:

- Comprehensive on-the-job training
- Opportunities to learn dental reception and patient coordination
- Supportive mentoring from an experienced team
- A positive and respectful workplace culture
- Opportunities for career progression and pay increases as your skills develop
- Modern technology and systems that make your job easier

How to Apply

Along with your resume, we'd love you to answer these three questions:

1. Tell us about a time you made someone's day a little better.

2. Why do you want to work in dentistry?

3. What do you think makes an exceptional customer experience?

We're far more interested in your attitude, personality and willingness to learn than years of experience.

We want to get to know the person behind the resume.

Instead of sending a standard cover letter, please send us:

- Your current CV; and
- A short 60-second video introducing yourself.

In your video, we'd love you to tell us:

- Why you're interested in joining Kingsford Dental.
- What attracted you to working in a patient care or customer service role.
- A time you made someone's day a little better or helped someone feel cared for.
- One thing you're hoping to learn or achieve in your next role.

Don't worry about making it perfect! We're not looking for a professionally produced video—we simply want to get a sense of who you are, how you communicate, and whether you'd be a great fit for our team.

We value kindness, enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for helping others far more than previous dental experience.

If this sounds like the kind of team you'd love to be part of, we'd love to hear from you!
