SMAART Recruitment has partnered with one of Australia’s leading niche insurance specialists, known for their highly regarded retail products in the automotive and specialty space.

Because of an exciting strategic shift, they are establishing a brand-new division right here on the Sunshine Coast.

We are now seeking an experienced Claims Team Leader to spearhead this launch in Maroochydore.

This is a rare opportunity where you won't just inherit a team, you will actually be involved in hiring your own consultants from the ground up.

As the Team Leader, you will transition the division into daily practice, establishing workflows, coaching for growth, and driving high-quality claims outcomes while maintaining a strong floor presence.

What we are looking for:

- Demonstrated experience in motor claims or general insurance claims management
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a team within a contact centre or fast-paced operational environment




- A proactive leader who is excited by the challenge of setting up a new division and shaping its culture
- A confident, direct communicator comfortable managing performance and handling complex escalations
- Commercially aware with the ability to balance operational duties with a consistent coaching cadence

About the position:

- Monday to Friday 7am - 6pm Rotating roster | Outstanding work-life balance with no weekends
- Hybrid working options
- $90,000 to $100,000 + Super (Depending on experience)
- 10% discretionary annual performance bonus
- Full-time, permanent position based in a fantastic Maroochydore location
