The Role

We are seeking a hands-on Electrical / Calibration Technician to support testing, calibration, and commissioning activities across electrical and automation systems. This role is suited to a junior candidate with a solid foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles, combined with practical exposure to PLC systems, instrumentation, and fault finding.

You will work closely with engineers and senior technicians on real-world industrial projects, contributing to system accuracy, reliability, and compliance.

Qualifications & experience

- Minimum 2 year calibration experience relating to dimensional, pressure ,torque and electrical .
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering (Degree, Diploma, or equivalent)
- Exposure to SCADA or control system environments
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Practical experience with testing, troubleshooting, and fault finding
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in calibration and documentation
- MS Office proficient
- Professional presentation and approach to the job, colleagues and clients
- Able to work autonomously on a day to day basis and manage time effectively
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence (Australian recognised)
- Ideally ,keen understanding of ISO 17025 and relevant standards and test methods used for various calibrations.




- Exposure to robotics or automated systems
- Experience using engineering or CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor)
- Understanding of AS/NZS electrical standards and compliance requirements
- Experience in industrial environments such as manufacturing, water treatment, or automation projects
- Programming knowledge (e.g. Python, C and Metcal)
- Additive manufacturing and fixture design capabilities

Tasks & responsibilities

- Pressure Calibration, pressure gauges,calibrators
- Torque Calibration, Torque wrenches , including repairs
- Dimensional Calibrations, micrometers, verniers, height gauges, etc
- Temperature Calibrations, Thermometers, Infrared guns and Thermal imagers
- Electrical Calibrations, Multimeters, Clamp-meters, Insulation Testers
- Electronics repair of various instrumentation
- Onsite field calibrations and installations
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of field instrumentation
- Designing and validating test systems and procedures for calibration
- Automation of calibration systems using various software packages, eg Python, C+, Metcal, Labview.
- Additive manufacturing and fixture design capabilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000.00 – $94,374.56 per year
