About the Role

In this full-time position, you will be a vital part of our day-to-day operations. Your core responsibilities will be split between fabricating custom frames and infrastructure for our busy workshop, and performing critical repairs and routine maintenance on a wide variety of agricultural machinery. - Fabrication & Assembly: Setting up, fitting, and welding custom frames and structural components for the Monk Ag Services workshop.
- Machinery Repair:

Diagnosing structural faults and performing high-quality welding repairs and maintenance on heavy agricultural machinery (tractors, harvesters, implements) to ensure maximum operational uptime.
- Quality Control: Inspecting and testing all welds, joints, and fabricated parts for structural integrity, safety, and operational alignment.
- Finishing: Cleaning, grinding, and treating welded surfaces for a durable and professional finish.
- Equipment Maintenance: Routinely servicing and maintaining workshop welding equipment, safety gear, and hand tools.

Skills & Qualifications

- Skill Level Requirement: Applicants must possess qualifications and experience commensurate with ANZSCO Skill Level 3 (typically an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of relevant on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV).
- Experience: Proven, hands-on experience in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, MMAW) and metal fabrication. Previous experience working directly with agricultural machinery is highly regarded.
- Problem Solving: A strong ability to troubleshoot mechanical and structural issues independently.
- Safety Focused: A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
