Female Disability Support Worker | Toukley
Complex care experience required | Regular two-week roster | Short, consistent shifts

Nextt is seeking experienced and reliable FEMALE Disability Support Workers to provide ongoing support to a participant living with quadriplegia in Toukley, Newcastle.

Due to the client's preference and support requirements, this position is open to female applicants only.

This role would suit someone who is confident providing complex personal care and enjoys building a respectful, positive and qualified relationship with the person they support.

About the Role
You will assist the participant with personal care, health-related routines, meals, medication and daily living support while promoting dignity, comfort, choice and independence.
Support may include:

- Personal care
- Bowel and catheter care
- Hoist transfers and manual handling
- Medication assistance
- Meal preparation and feeding support
- Repositioning
- Supporting the participant’s daily routines

Available Shifts
The roster operates across a repeating two-week cycle.

Week 1:

- Monday 8:00am–10:00am and 1:00pm–3:00pm
- Tuesday 8:00am–10:00am and 7:00pm–9:00pm
- Wednesday 8:00am–10:00am
- Thursday 7:00pm–9:00pm
- Friday 8:00am–10:00am
- Saturday 8:00am–10:00am




- Sunday 1:00pm–3:00pm

Week 2:

- Monday 8:00am–10:00am
- Tuesday 8:00am–10:00am
- Wednesday 8:00am–10:00am
- Thursday 7:00pm–9:00pm
- Friday 8:00am–10:00am and 1:00pm–3:00pm
- Saturday 8:00am–10:00am
- Sunday 8:00am–10:00am

Previous experience supporting a person with quadriplegia or spinal cord injury will be highly regarded.

Requirements
To be considered, you will need:

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- NDIS Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You
- Relevant complex care and manual handling experience
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable transport

Pay Rates
E3.1 (Casual in home and SIL)
SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):

- Base hourly rate: $36.81
- Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $40.49
- Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $41.23
- Saturday: $51.54
- Sunday: $66.26
- Public holiday: $80.99
