Connected Beginnings Education and Engagement Worker

Full Time – 38 Hours Per Week | Ongoing

This is an Aboriginal Designated Position, classified under 'special measures' of Section 12 of the Equal Prospect Act 2010. Only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are eligible to apply.

Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-operative (RAC) is a leading Aboriginal community-controlled organisation that has provided holistic, culturally safe services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across the Goulburn Valley since 1980.

RAC delivers a wide range of services that strengthen health, wellbeing, family, culture, and community, guided by Aboriginal self-determination and community leadership.

About the Role

The Connected Beginnings Education and Engagement Worker support Aboriginal children and families by strengthening early childhood development, education, and community engagement. The role focuses on building culturally appropriate educational pathways, promoting school readiness, and working collaboratively with families, educators, and community services to improve outcomes for Aboriginal children.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- You are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

- Qualifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field (highly desirable)
- Understanding of the challenges impacting Aboriginal children and families in early childhood, education, and community engagement




- Experience in early childhood education and/or community development
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of child development and educational program delivery
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
