RESIDENTIAL HANDYMAN – ON-THE-ROAD ROLE

Pay: $50 per hour

Availability: Must be available 7 days per week Location: Melbourne, Victoria

We are looking for an experienced and highly reliable residential handyman to join our on-the-road maintenance team. This role involves travelling between residential properties and completing a wide range of general repair, maintenance and installation work. You must have previous professional handyman experience and strong practical carpentry skills.

THE ROLE

You will attend residential properties and complete a variety of handyman jobs. Typical work may include door repairs, lock and handle replacement, shelving installation, furniture assembly, timber repairs, skirting and architrave repairs, plaster patching, minor painting, wall mounting, fence and gate repairs, general maintenance and other small residential repair jobs. You must be comfortable assessing each job, identifying the correct solution and completing the work independently to a skilled standard.

PAY AND AVAILABILITY

The position pays $50 per hour. You must be available to accept work across all 7 days of the week. This does not necessarily mean working every day, but you must have flexible availability and be able to reliably attend scheduled jobs when required. Consistent work is available for the right person.

WHAT WE REQUIRE

You must have previous professional handyman experience. You must have solid experience in carpentry and timber repair work. You must be confident using common hand tools and power tools. You must be capable of completing a wide variety of residential maintenance and repair jobs. You must be extremely reliable and punctual. You must respond promptly to calls and text messages. You must communicate immediately if there is any issue affecting a customer, job or schedule.



You must be able to work independently without constant supervision. You must produce clean, strong and professional-quality work. You must protect customers’ floors, walls, furniture and surrounding areas while working. You must clean the work area thoroughly after every job. You must treat customers and their properties professionally and respectfully. A valid driver licence is required.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is an experienced residential handyman with strong carpentry skills and a broad understanding of property maintenance. You should be practical, efficient and confident solving problems on site. You must be able to move between different types of jobs throughout the day and maintain a consistently high standard of work. Reliability is one of the most important requirements for this position. We need someone who arrives on time, responds quickly to messages, follows the daily schedule and can be trusted to complete jobs properly without being repeatedly chased or reminded. This role is suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship and wants consistent residential maintenance work at a strong hourly rate.
